Employee Benefits Paralegal/Analyst The candidate will be preparing and monitoring retirement and welfare plan documents and amendments, as well as all required and related participant disclosure documents, notices and elections and government reporting and compliance filings. Will serve in QDRO review and certification. Management of compliance filings with DOL and IRS under EPCRS and VFCP programs. Assist with DOL and IRS audit responses. Collaborate directly with clients on plan design and assist them with their administrative needs. Assist attorneys and firm’s HR department with document preparation, and reporting work for the firm’s retirement and welfare benefit plans. Ability to research issues and summarize findings. Performs preparation for perspective clients. Management of transactional projects involving ESOPs.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should preferably have a Paralegal Certificate and Bachelor's Degree. Must have 5 years of experience in employee benefit plan administration. Should preferably have experience in every aspect of employee benefit plan administration. Experience with Relius Software essential. Advanced experience with Excel needed. Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and able to prioritize multiple projects essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed.
