A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a highly skilled Private Credit Associate Attorney with approximately 6 years of experience in private credit and finance matters. Duties:

  • Represent clients in private credit and finance transactions, including structuring, negotiating, and documenting lending arrangements.
  • Advise on and handle various financing transactions, such as cash flow deals, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence and risk assessment related to credit and finance matters.
  • Draft and review loan agreements, security agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Provide clients with strategic legal advice and guidance on financing structures and transaction risks.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to ensure comprehensive legal support and client representation.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and private credit and finance law best practices.
  • Manage client relationships, including maintaining clear communication and addressing client needs effectively.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in private credit and finance matters at a nationally recognized law firm or other appropriate legal expertise.
  • Demonstrated experience in lending, with borrower-side exposure considered a plus.
  • Proven track record in handling various financing transactions, including cash flow deals, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations.
  • Experience in asset-based financings, restructurings, and workouts is highly desirable.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility for admission.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in California (or eligibility for admission).

  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills for complex legal documents.
