Private Equity Paralegal The candidate will function as an integral part of the firm s leading private investment funds practice. The Private Equity Paralegal will provide comprehensive support to the firm's global private investment funds team and be responsible for handling a wide variety of client and team driven tasks. This specialized position offers an excellent learning opportunity for those interested in pursuing law school or entering the business world by providing in depth exposure to corporate law and the private equity industry. Work closely with the firm's global private investment funds team and is expected to provide assistance on a vast array of projects and tasks relating to the firm s private equity practice. Responsibilities: Assisting attorneys in all stages of the fund formation and closing process. Preparing documentation for formation of corporate entities and coordinating filings with corporate service providers. Assisting attorneys and private equity clients with compliance and investment activities. Communicating directly with private investment clients and their investors. Assisting in the coordination of practice group training events. Researching topics such as market trends, legislative developments, legal precedents, and other matters relating to private investment funds. Maintaining the institutional memory of several leading global private investment clients. Developing and periodically updating content for internal electronic resources, including practice group wikis and databases. Coordinating between attorneys in a variety of legal practice groups and global offices. A Bachelor s degree required (minimum GPA of 3.3). 1-2 years of Private Equity Paralegal experience preferred.
