SBA Support Specialist The candidate provides SBA lending administrative support to a team of Commercial Relationship Managers, including contacting customers to secure appropriate documentation and financial information. Handles all aspects of SBA commercial loan customer service. Prepares SBA commercial loan legal documents in accordance with the loan approval, regulatory and policy requirements. Prepares SBA commitment and works with the Commercial Relationship Managers to ensure appropriate SBA terms and conditions are included. Prepares and maintains SBA credit files, ensuring appropriate SBA documentation and financial information has been collected from the customer. Assists in SBA loan closings with the Relationship Manager and lawyers. Performs general filing of all SBA commercial loan materials and proper placement in the credit files. Maintains booking worksheets, and files appropriate lien filings. Enters appropriate customer information into Horizon core system. Maintains a relationship with the local and National SBA office(s) and adhere to all SBA rules and regulations. Performs other duties as assigned. Serves as backup to the Commercial Relationship Administrators for C&I and CRE deals where necessary. Ensures proper loan codes and officer codes are entered into Horizon core system and booking worksheets, as required. Provides customer service and problem resolution. Prepares SBA documents for loan closings for Commercial Relationship Managers as directed. Closes small SBA express deals where necessary. Processes payments to the SBA for guaranty files via the pay.gov website. Responsible for balancing of general ledger entries each quarter. Orders, reconciles, and verifies tax transcripts against tax returns provided. Orders flood determinations, as required. Runs CAIVRS checks, UCC, and OFAC searches, as required. Reviews insurance binders to endure appropriate coverage is in place. Orders good standing certificates, when applicable. Must have Associates Degree or equivalent experience. Should have 3 years of banking experience in a commercial loan department and document preparation or financial services/corporate Paralegal experience. 2-4 years minimum of experience within an operational/administrative supportive role required. SBA Certification is preferred. Should have good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. Must have solid working knowledge of commercial loan documents, commercial loan terminology and closing procedures. Should have excellent communication and organizational skills. Knowledge of E-Tran and SBA One Systems is preferred.
