Corporate Litigation Paralegal The candidate will carry out actions which have an impact upon the obligations of the company while maintaining high standards of legal and business ethics and professional responsibility. Will provide legal support to attorneys and paralegals working on a wide variety of state and federal litigation matters in all phases of the litigation process with moderate supervision. Support internal and external business process efforts, assisting attorneys and clients. Develop a working knowledge of company resources sufficient to facilitate document management. Conduct factual research, analysis and collection and production of documents working with large document databases and using litigation software tools. Intake and review of service of process served upon firm entities to identify nature of the document and proper assignment to attorneys and/or clients. Identify and escalate matters received as necessary to ensure handling of matters is timely and deadlines are met. Utilize technology, developing proficient computer skills for all claim systems to Identify claim information for all service of process received. Develop a working knowledge of company resources sufficient to respond to requests and inquires received from attorneys and internal clients.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. A Paralegal certificate preferred. Must have 1-3 years of working experience as a Paralegal. Should have complex litigation skills to support a team of attorneys who provide corporate litigation services to all departments within the company and to support to the Service of Process team overseeing the intake, receipt, analysis and entry of information into a specialized database for all Service of Process served on all entities. Knowledge of electronic discovery is preferred. Excellent writing and communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with in-house clients and outside counsel is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills is needed.
