Lead Counsel, Information Security The candidate will be responsible for protecting users and their data by counseling physical and information security teams, and by building and maintaining relationships with private and public sector entities focusing on Internet safety and security. Will provide counsel and guidance to company's security teams during investigations, incident response, information sharing and threat mitigation, and work directly with business and engineering teams to design and implement innovative privacy and security solutions. Work with company's security teams and human resources to assess and mitigate insider threats. Review and provide guidance on security plans such as ISO certifications. Counsel teams in developing products with privacy and security by design. Maintain and update security investigation guidelines. Provide support and counsel during investigations to insure they are conducted and documented in an appropriate manner that minimizes risks and protects users' privacy. Support efforts to constantly maintain and enhance company's security posture. Work with investigation teams to prevent spamming, fraud, malware, and other abuse types on the platform. Support company's Bug Bounty Program. Support and oversee the Threat Exchange product and other industry information sharing efforts. Travel within the United States and abroad.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have BA/BS and J.D. degree. Must have 5+ years of experience working with law enforcement authorities and in the field of cybersecurity. Knowledge and experience related to cybercrime and online investigations is required. Experience investigating and/or prosecuting Internet safety and security matters is needed. Should have experience with US national security and cybercrime laws. Experience in drafting and/or executing legal documents (e.g., civil and criminal subpoenas, court orders and search warrants) is needed. Experience working with data protection authorities, financial institutions, and Internet industry associations is essential. Should have experience working off hours and overtime, including the weekend and occasionally holidays, in order to support emergency matters and interact with globally based company employees. Communication and presentation experience required. Experience working with or in support of diverse communities is preferred.
