Litigation Secretary The candidate performs secretarial and administrative duties for the legal department. Assists Counsel and outside counsel with management of all litigation matters. Receives, logs, tracks and reports on litigation. Assists counsel with the distribution of Legal Holds. Works with outside counsel and business units to collect, evaluate and assemble discovery. Assists with scheduling witness interviews and depositions of business personnel. Transmits information relevant to discovery to outside counsel. Prepares correspondence to customers. Primary contact/liaison with outside litigation counsel. Manages and maintains billing system (Serengeti) for outside counsel invoices. Prepares purchase orders for retention of outside counsel. Prepares reports related to litigation. Manages company records. General legal support of counsel such as maintaining and organizing pleadings, calendaring, bates labeling, etc, as needed. May provide backup or overflow support to Subpoena Specialist and other Legal staff as necessary. Support the companyâ€™s commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data. Should have 5+ yearsâ€™ of legal secretary experience in a litigation and/or corporate environment; Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities; Strong written and verbal communication skills. B.A. or paralegal certification or equivalent is preferred. Banking or payments experience is preferred.
