Assistant Attorney General Duties: Current client agencies in need of primary representation include the Division of Insurance, the Alaska Alcohol and Marijuana Control Boards, the Professional Teaching Practices Commission, the Board of Agriculture and Conservation, the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation, the Permanent Fund Dividend Division, and the Division of Professional Licensing.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Prior professional or legal experience, including a clerkship with the state or federal courts, is preferred. Excellent judgment. Strong writing skills. Willing to represent agency clients by giving informal advice as well as representing clients in administrative hearings, civil litigation and appeals.
