A law firm seeks a highly motivated Trial Attorney to join its team in Burbank. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to handle a variety of litigation matters, with a focus on landlord-tenant law, including unlawful detainers. The ideal candidate will gain substantial trial experience, handle a personal caseload, and receive mentorship from seasoned attorneys. Duties

  • Represent clients in landlord-tenant litigation, specializing in unlawful detainer cases.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to build strong relationships and understand their needs.
  • Appear in court for hearings, motions, and trials (both in-person and virtual).
  • Conduct bench and jury trials with confidence, presenting cases clearly and persuasively.
  • Manage caseloads effectively, ensuring timely completion of legal tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with other attorneys and support staff to strategize and prepare cases.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of litigation experience (preferred).
  • Familiarity with California civil litigation practices, rules, and procedures.
  • Experience or interest in landlord-tenant law is highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of cases.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, self-motivated attitude.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the California State Bar (required).
