Job Overview: A well-established law firm is seeking a motivated and skilled Litigation Attorney with 1-3 years of experience in civil litigation or insurance defense. The position offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload while working in a collaborative and supportive environment. This role provides a hybrid work schedule, with flexibility for both remote and in-office work. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of litigation processes and insurance defense matters, along with excellent client service skills and the ability to manage cases from start to finish.

Location:

  • Tempe, Arizona

Duties:

  • Manage and handle civil litigation cases, specifically in insurance defense, from inception through resolution.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys, partners, and shareholders to develop case strategies.
  • Represent clients in court, at depositions, and in mediations as required.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
  • Maintain client communication, providing updates and managing expectations throughout the litigation process.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare detailed legal analyses.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across various practice areas to provide comprehensive client service.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in civil litigation or insurance defense.
  • Strong academic credentials with a Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Arizona State Bar.
  • Ability to manage a litigation caseload independently and effectively.
  • Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Arizona State Bar (Required).

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal research and writing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in handling insurance defense and general civil litigation matters.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
