ProfileCourt Executive 1B (Assistant Criminal Division Manager) The candidate will assist the Court Executive 2B, Criminal Division Manager with the administration and management of daily operations in the Criminal Division. Will offer creative ideas/solutions with regard to conflict management and will demonstrate strong technical skills in the areas of case processing and recommend improvements in operational procedures, administrative practices, organizational structure and work processes. Will ensure compliance with court orders, facilitate unique customer service strategies to improve existing services and motivate staff to meet and exceed customer expectations; manage all personnel issues including recruitment, discipline, performance appraisals, career progressions, and assess training needs; serve on statewide committees; and perform related duties as required.
Qualification and Experience
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of increasingly responsible administrative experience, one (1) of which shall have included experience in planning, organizing and coordinating program or case related activities or court operations: reviewing court activities for compliance with laws, court rules or administrative directives; consulting with judges, attorneys and law clerks; evaluating case management systems, coordinating activities between agencies, government and enforcement units; and/or preparing and analyzing case processing statistical reports.
Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional professional experience on a year for year basis with one (1) year of such experience being equal to thirty (30) semester hour credits. An Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional professional experience may be substituted for the required Bachelor's Degree. A Master's Degree may be substituted for one (1) year of experience as indicated above. A Law Degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience as indicated above.
Note: The candidate must work in any of the three Vicinage 13 counties. Based on operational needs, this position will be assigned to the Somerset County Courthouse (Somerville, NJ), the Hunterdon County Justice Center (Flemington, NJ) or the Warren County Courthouse (Belvidere, NJ).
