A law firm in Mt. Laurel, NJ, is seeking a Workers' Compensation Attorney with 1-3 years of meaningful New Jersey workers’ compensation insurance defense experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in time-management, writing, and communication skills, and possess the ability to work effectively as a team member in a high-volume, fast-paced, and collegial work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate new workers' compensation files and assess case merits.
• Communicate effectively with clients, including providing updates and advising on case status.
• Prepare discovery requests and responses, including document production and depositions.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda on various areas of workers' compensation law.
• Prepare and argue discovery motions, substantive motions, dispositive motions, and appeals.
• Attend pretrial conferences, motion hearings, and trials as necessary.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Active license in good standing with the New Jersey Bar.
• 1-3 years of meaningful experience in New Jersey workers’ compensation insurance defense preferred.
• Strong understanding of New Jersey workers’ compensation laws and procedures.
• Excellent time-management skills with the ability to handle a high-volume caseload.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when necessary.
• Experience in conducting legal research and drafting legal memoranda.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Active license in good standing with the New Jersey State Bar.

• Proficiency in legal research methodologies and resources.
• Strong advocacy skills with experience in preparing and arguing motions and appeals.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear and concise recommendations.
