County Commission Attorney The candidate responsibilities include: To advise the County Commissioners on all board-related legal matters. Specifically, the county commission attorney is expected to review all BOC documents, policies, procedures and provide legal guidance. This includes a legal review of all BOC agenda items scheduled for commission meetings and to advise the commission as appropriate. The attorney will advise the commission on procedural matters in public and assure the Commission follows all procedures according to law. To attend the two regular County Commission meetings per month, plus work-sessions and other commission meetings as needed. Should have knowledge and experience with local government and county government operations, policies, rules and core services. Must be a practicing attorney, licensed in NC.
