ProfileAttorney 2 The candidate will conduct mediation conferences throughout the State of Georgia in order to facilitate the resolution of workers’ compensation disputes and the settlement of workers’ compensation claims. Must adhere to ethical and legal guidelines and ensure confidentiality of the process. Must have a J.D. degree and be a member of the Georgia Bar. Must have excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to accurately and effectively relay information. Must have superior interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Should have experience in workers’ compensation law is mandatory. Should have 5 or more years of workers’ compensation experience. Will be responsible for conducting mediations in various cities, which will include, but may not be limited to: Savannah, Brunswick, Waycross Douglas and Dublin. Should have Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university AND license to practice law in the State of Georgia OR eligibility to sit for the next Georgia Bar examination OR reciprocity AND One year of relevant legal experience OR One year of experience required at the lower level Attorney 1 (LEP020).
