Workers Compensation Defense Attorney The candidate will maintain membership in state bar and completes all required Continuing Legal Education requirements on an annual basis. Will follow the ethical requirements as set forth by the Rules of Professional Conduct of the state and complies with all requirements of the firm's professional liability insurer. Set retainer and payment schedule with client for legal services to be directed by and/or performed by attorney under the terms of the firm's fee agreement. Review and analyze newly assigned and existing matters in order to provide legal representation until the matter is concluded. Draft all necessary documents to provide legal representation to clients and routes them through the appropriate office procedures to produce final documents. Represent clients at depositions, mediations, hearings and trials in administrative, state and federal courts. Perform necessary legal research using all available resources including libraries and computer data systems. Formulate and issues well-founded legal opinions to clients and to courts. Conduct negotiations, when appropriate, to resolve matters on behalf of clients. Advise and communicates regularly with clients regarding the status of their matter. JD degree is needed. Must be admitted to Florida Bar. Should have 2 - 10 years of experience in Workers' Compensation.
