Private Wealth Services Associate The candidate must have: Excellent academic credentials and writing skills. 2-4 years of legal experience working with high-net worth clients, with an emphasis on drafting estate plan documents, performing tax research, administering trusts and estates, preparing corporate/LLC documents for family-owned entities, and experience working with families and fiduciaries (individual and corporate). Areas of experience that would be helpful for a successful candidate include the ability to: (i) draft wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts; (ii) research, analyze and explain a broad range of tax issues (individual income tax; corporate and partnership tax; estate and gift tax); (iii) handle the administration of estates (including preparing probate documents and attending court hearings; reviewing estate tax returns) and trusts (including assisting clients with the transfer of assets and the funding of trusts); (iv) draft a broad range of company documents (formation documents; governing documents; assignments; notes; consents; contribution agreements; etc.); and (v) research and advise on state probate and trust law to provide advice to fiduciaries on a variety of issues involved in the administration of trusts (including in semi-contested matters). Prior employment in a sophisticated law firm environment is preferred.
