People Advisory Services - Mobility (Expatriate) Tax Senior Duties: Provide individual tax planning, compliance services and advice on tax implications related to the mobility of employees into new locations as well as relevant corporate and employment tax planning. Key capabilities include: Mobility Tax Compliance, Mobility Income Tax Advisory and calculations, Cross Border Share based incentive schemes and expatriate compensation, and Global and Local Employment Tax Compliance and Advisory. Will be a key resource on large-scale mobility related projects. In this role, you should be able to deliver quality client service, analyze complex problems and deliver insightful solutions. Will be expected to have excellent communication skills, integrate into new teams and rapidly establish relationships. Contribute to the successful delivery of Mobility (expatriate) tax projects (including reviewing and preparing tax returns), demonstrating technical excellence and taking a practical/business driven approach to solving complex client challenges. Be up to date with key technical and functional skills, and industry trends. Be able to influence and persuade clients and stakeholders to gain support for any major change initiatives and/or decisions. Take a practical approach to solving issues and gaining client agreement. Encourage and facilitate collaboration amongst team members, and promote an inclusive working environment. Be able to identify and help manage any potential issues and risks during a client assignment. Contribute to business development and client pursuit activities, by preparing proposals, presentations for potential clients and thought leadership brochures. Identify and flag any follow-up engagement opportunities. Support and lead certain engagement activities from planning through to implementation.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics). CPA or JD Degree certification preferred or active progress towards the CPA certification or membership in the Bar. 3+ years of experience relevant professional experience in expatriate tax, including for example previous work with a Big 4, global management consultancy firm, niche consultancy or performed an in-house role in which gained exposure to a large-scale projects.
