International Tax Analyst II The candidate will assist the Manager, International Tax Operations with global tax planning, international tax compliance, tax audits, transfer pricing, tax research, and international operations reviews. Also assist in providing tax support to multi-departmental disciplines, international operations and regional offices. Prepare all calculations and ensures proper reporting for DISC commissions paid. Assist with the preparation of all international compliance forms in the U.S. federal income tax return which may include the following: Form 926 (Return by a U.S. transferor of property to a foreign corporation); Form 1118 (Foreign tax credit); Form 5471 (Information return of U.S. persons with respect to certain foreign corporations); Form 8865 (Return of U.S. persons with respect to certain foreign partnerships); Schedule N (Foreign operations of U.S. corporations). Assist with ensuring all relevant documentation is obtained to support U.S. tax return positions including tax receipts. Assist in the preparation of all annual transfer pricing studies required by the U.S. and each country and/or other documentation to support intercompany charges, as needed. Assist in gathering information and preparing responses arising out of the Internal Revenue Service audits and/or audits by foreign tax authorities of international operations. Assist with the analysis of the quarterly and year-end FAS 109 calculations and tax reporting packages from every international operation. Prepare an analysis of the effective tax rate for every country and as appropriate researches ways to minimize. Assist with the preparation of tax and financial analyses necessary to develop and support tax planning opportunities related to international transactions. Research tax issues as they arise. Stay abreast of international tax laws in all countries where Mary Kay does business or plans to open operations. Diligently monitor the large volume of regulations, constantly changing legislative initiatives, or case law changes on all levels, for both direct and indirect taxes and evaluates any effects to the Company. Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting, economics, finance or a related field required. Master’s degree or JD preferred. Must have a CPA certification or be a licensed attorney. 3-6 years of relevant international tax experience; 0-3 years of experience with a Master’s degree required. Solid research and analytical skills required. Quantitative skills and strong software skills, including MS Excel and tax software to conduct financial modeling, financial analysis, etc required. Written and verbal communication skills to gather and prepare responses to audits and communicate tax information to employees at various levels and agencies in other countries required. Foreign and domestic travel required on an occasional basis required.
