ProfileTax Manager The candidate will use their expertise to provide accounting method consulting services to clients and firm personnel. Advise clients on a full spectrum of accounting method issues, planning, research, and compliance. Assist with new business development, extended service and tax issue recognition for existing clients and creating sustainable relationships. Develop, motivate, and train team members. Manage corporate client needs with respect to tax services and federal and state tax compliance. Keep up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law. Work with and assist other members of the Accounting Method & Periods practice with various technical tax issues related to the timing of deductions and revenue recognition. Aid clients with filing Form 3115 and IRS ruling requests. CPA with a Masters in Taxation or J.D. degree required. L.L.M. in Taxation is a plus. Experience: in filing Applications for Change in Accounting Methods; with inventory, including UNICAP and Last-in, First-out and Fixed Assets preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information required. Familiarity with tax consulting processes and analytical skills necessary for the effective diagnoses, development and implementation of solutions to clients' tax needs required. Proficiency in researching and writing is essential as this position will entail engagements revolving around income tax accounting issue required.
