ProfileTax Manager The candidate will manage US federal and state income tax returns preparation as well as other tax returns as required. Will manage US indirect tax return preparation as well as other tax returns as required (Sales & Use, Property, etc.). Calculation of the monthly/quarterly US tax provision. Responsible for estimated cash tax payments and extensions. Defense of tax audits. Tax technical research as required. Support domestic and international tax planning initiatives. Review transactional data to identify tax issues and determine proper tax treatment. Documentation of tax processes and organization of tax information. Coordinate the information needed for engagements with external tax advisors. Interface with other areas of the organization and provide guidance as required. Assist in preparation of US GAAP reporting requirements. Assist in training of global tax team Set up controls and processes. Train global tax teams. Establish relationships with key members of the organization and external service providers. Estimated tax payments and extensions. Identify tax planning opportunities/initiatives.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field and professional certification (i.e. CPA, JD degree). Should have 7+ years of relevant tax experience. Prior experience at a national or top regional public accounting firm or a large corporate tax department is essential. Command of federal and state corporate taxation, including accounting for income taxes under ASC 740 is essential. Advanced degree in accounting, tax or related field is preferred. Working knowledge of OneSource (Tax Provision and Tax Compliance) is preferred. Strong computer and computer systems knowledge is preferred. Exposure to HFM / Hyperion and SAP is preferred, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
