Tax Associate - Research & Development Credits Responsibilities : The candidate will research tax issues, conduct fieldwork and contribute to client engagements. Conduct Research and Development (R&D) credit studies and related activities including conducting fieldwork and assisting with client deliverable. Assist in the execution of work plans designed to identify and quantify research credit claims. Assist other team members with the delivery of engagements as needed, including legal research and writing with regard to technical issues. Attend professional development and training sessions on a regular basis and perform other job-related duties as necessary.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements : The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA, JD or LLM is preferred. Minimum 1 year experience with R&D tax credit projects in a public accounting firm. Detailed understanding of federal and state R&D rules, regulations, and relevant court cases. Excellent comprehension of relevant tax material related to R&D credit rules and the ability to evaluate and articulate complex information. Proven competence with MS Office and tax research tools. Solid organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task. Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with firm and client personnel at all levels.
