Senior Tax Accountant, Tax Accounting Group Duties: Provide a broad range of cost-effective tax preparation, planning and consulting services as well as accounting, financial and management advisory services to individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts and nonprofit organizations. Provides an array of litigation consulting services to lawyers and law firms representing clients in regulatory and transactional matters and throughout various stages of litigation.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 3-8 years of CPA firm experience. Currently licensed CPA (or commitment to pass CPA exam before being promoted to Manager with subsequent obtaining of licensure), Enrolled Agent or Member of the Bar; advanced taxation degree helpful; accounting software knowledge and proficiency in QuickBooks. Strong knowledge and proven technical skills in the areas of tax compliance and planning for high net worth individuals and businesses. Experience in multi-state individual taxation. Exposure to information returns of U.S. persons invested in foreign corporations/entities. Demonstrated experience in research and writing on a wide variety of tax matters impacting high net worth individuals. Ability and desire to provide innovative tax planning solutions and strategies including the ability to effectively present same to clients. Ability to accurately and timely address client needs and actively participate in client discussions and meetings. Proven success as an innovative individual contributor and team member. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively participate in new client acquisition activities. Accurately managing client service time budgets.

Management needs to be more firm with their employees and create a more professional environment. This will only drive people away in the long run.

Pros : I worked at this firm for roughly a year and I did enjoy the hours at this firm. They were very consistent and I rarely ever felt overworked. Plus overtime was always an option and paid very well if you wanted the extra work.
Cons : Management at this firm is such a mess. They are rarely present and when they are they don't ever listen to employees. Staff runs around constantly avoiding work and the professionalism at this firm is just not there.
