ProfileTax Manager I The candidate will support the implementation of tax planning structures and initiatives, proactively solves potential issues and/or roadblocks. Partner with finance and other business areas with information and advice regarding tax matters; occasionally redirects or escalates requests. Assist in the execution of tax policy and may manage processes around the preparation of tax provisions, tax accounting, and tax footnotes reported in public filings (e.g., Form 10Q and 10K) to ensure accurate financial reporting. Support the optimization of tax liabilities/attributes within regulations and educates internal stakeholders on potential implications. Support tax team in domestic and international tax audits, supporting the gathering of information to fulfill requests. Support tax due diligence, legal document review and assists with the structuring of M&A transactions. Supervise, prepare, and/or support tax filing obligations in compliance with tax laws and regulations. May engage with external advisors to ensure requested information is provided for purposes of completing tax projects in a timely manner and maintaining supporting documentation. Assist or support the creation, implementation and maintenance of documentation, documentation processes, and internal controls; supports the planning around internal control testing to mitigate risks. Graduate or undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting and/or JD required. Advanced, related degree is highly preferred. 7+ years of progressive experience in tax, with proven ability to execute within or for a large, complex multinational organization required. Strategic tax planning experience and demonstrated business acumen required. Significant US international tax and federal subchapter C planning experience required. Foreign tax credit, repatriation, cross border funding, intellectual property, supply chain, transfer pricing and Subpart F experience required. Working knowledge of regional tax issues, especially in Asia Pacific and Europe required. Experience with ASC740, especially as it relates to impact of planning initiatives required. Significant experience managing tax professionals; proven ability to motivate, mentor and develop staff required. Exceptional problem solving and well‐honed communication skills required.
