Profile

Program Management Director The candidate will manage the implementation of specific government or commercial contracts. Will plan, coordinate, and manage the actions taken by an organization to acquire and execute a specific piece of business, either competitively or non-competitively. Integrate all functions and activities necessary to perform the project/program to meet the client or customer requirements. Plan and implement actions by the program/project team to define and implement technical baseline and meet quality requirements for project/program products and services. Direct project team personnel, manage cost and schedule, ensure contract compliance, and serve as customer interface. Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Review status of projects and budgets. Manage schedules and prepare status reports. Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Responsible for ensuring contract requirements and subcontractor responsibilities are being accomplished including working on the definition and implementation of project planning techniques to provide visibility on the contract. Responsibilities may include developing budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements for an assigned portion of a program, participating in and establishing and defining program plan requirements, and monitoring and reporting performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met. Develop solutions to a variety of problems moderate in scope and complexity. May refer to policies, procedures and practices. Perform assignments in the form of objectives and establish goals to meet outlined objectives. Administer company policies that directly affect employees. Recommend changes to team policies. Should have Bachelor's degree and 18+ years of related experience OR Master's degree and 16 years of experience OR Ph.D. or J.D. degree and 8 years of experience.
