Licensed attorney to assist with research, pleadings, and discovery I am the General Partner of a partnership involved in civil litigation in the Hennepin County District Court. My counsel of record is MSBA certified as both a Civil Law Specialist and a Real Law Property Specialist. I am seeking a qualified Minnesota attorney to assist my lawyer in conducting research, drafting pleadings, and conducting discovery. The attorney to be hired will not be counsel of record. Our partnership owned an apartment project that was recently sold. The net proceeds, of about $2,000,000 are in escrow pending the court determining how these funds are to be distributed between the partners. Because our funds are in escrow and not currently available to pay legal fees, I am seeking to employ legal counsel that can afford to forgo immediate payment. We expect the court to be resolved within 6 to 9 months. We will attempt to have some funds released for early payment of legal fees. The attorney we hire will need to be able to give us about 20 hours per week for the next 2 months, and 5 to 10 hours per week thereafter. The newly hired lawyer can perform the work wherever he chooses and during hours chosen by him. The lawyer is required to have access to online legal research services. Please reply to this ad with an outline of your experience in research, pleadings, and discovery. Further we would like to know your hourly rate, the location where your services will be rendered, and the online research services you have available. Your reply will be held in strict confidence.
