Litigation Management Specialist The candidate will ensure awareness of litigation management policies, practices and procedures by training claims professionals to foster understanding and compliance. Will provide oversight of panel counsel within assigned region by working with assigned claim groups relative to panel counsel selection, rates, databases and problem solving. Provide oversight of insured select counsel by working with assigned claim groups relative to insured selected counsel retention, rates, performance issues, etc. Act as a liaison between Litigation Management, the Technical Claims Organization and Customers by handling all litigation management support needs. Promote use of firm panel counsel by providing Litigation Management data analysis for customers. Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed. Should have JD degree and 4+ years of experience in the legal OR claims handling and litigation claims area OR Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies or Legal Studies and 6+ years of experience in the legal OR claims handling and litigation claims area. Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims and the insurance defense legal environment is essential. Strong verbal and written communication skill is preferred. Experience collaborating across work groups is preferred.
