ProfileRecovery Attorney The candidate will recover the maximum amount possible for each case by developing cases, identifying all potential recovery sources, regularly communicating with all parties, and overcoming legal objections to recovery. Will work as part of a team but must also be able to work independently and assist with diverse projects. Will determine appropriate strategy for case handling. Will exercise proper judgment and decision making to maximize recovery potential. Will maintain regular communication with all potential recovery sources and continue to identify additional potential recovery sources. Will handle cases in accordance with case handling procedures. Will review and address incoming correspondence and communications. Will negotiate claims pursuant to legal and other parameters. Will properly identify all potentially related medical claims in assertion of lien. Will document and communicate all lien activity timely and effectively and in a manner which supports the outcome of the lien. Will legal research and writing as required. Will meet benchmarks and forecasts. Will meet production requirements and performance metrics.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have licensed to practice in Michigan (and in good standing). Should have Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Should have 2 years of personal injury or no-fault litigation experience preferred, or similar relevant experience. Should have experience handling health care insurance recoveries either in a legal environment or at a property and casualty insurance company. Should have functional Microsoft Office/Windows skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
