Director of Pro Bono Services The candidate will be responsible for implementing and executing a firm wide pro bono strategy. Developing community and client partnerships, managing non-profit agency relationships, appropriately placing attorneys on pro bono matters, opening and approving all pro bono matters and being an overall resource for pro bono initiatives firm wide. Manage and oversee all non-profit agency relationships. Create client centric pro bono efforts. Serve as a strategic partner with firm’s attorneys to determine if incoming requests are appropriate for pro bono credit under firm policy. Open and approve all pro bono matters. Appropriately staff all incoming pro bono matters. Facilitate events and activities for annual Pro Bono Week. Establish relationships with Office Managing Partners to encourage pro bono participation and community partnerships. Host annual Pro Bono lunches and activities to encourage pro bono participation. Oversee and manage all annual and quarterly reports for bar associations, local publications, client RFPs, etc. In consultation with Chief Talent Officer, annually review firm’s Pro Bono policy and recommend changes. Work collaboratively with Legal Recruiting and Client Development to produce recruiting materials. Working collaboratively Client Development to prepare and distribute an annual Pro Bono Institute Report. Establish and maintain relationships with members of the Pro Bono Institute. In consultation with Director of Legal Recruiting, introduce pro bono projects and opportunities for Summer Associates. In consultation with the Director of Inclusion & Professional Development, develop and implement pro-bono projects as part of on-boarding new attorneys. Conduct Quarterly Pro Bono training.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have JD degree; Missouri licensed attorney in good standing. Must have 5+ years of progressive expertise in related area. Substantial experience leading company-wide initiatives within a multi-office setting, preferably in a professional services firm environment required.
