ProfileLitigation Associate The candidate will be assisting with providing practical legal advice to clients. Will be performing legal research. Analyzing legal issues that are based on case specific facts. Serving as the Associate on litigation matters, with primary responsibility for: Drafting initial case assessments and budgets; Preparing and filing responsive pleadings; Issuing discovery requests; Responding to discovery requests; Drafting discovery motions; Participating in court ordered conferences; Assisting with preparing for depositions and identifying exhibits to support the client’s defenses; Taking depositions of third party witnesses; Preparing and drafting dispositive motions; and assisting with trial preparation and serving as second chair at trial.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have a JD degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to the Bar of the State of Mississippi. Should have 3+ years of litigation experience. Must be in good standing in their jurisdiction. Law review and/or moot court experience preferred.
