Trial Attorney The candidate will review new file assignments and approve initial pleadings, propound discovery, and/or develop strategy. Will contacts clients. Will review all documentary evidence. Will prepares witnesses and clients for depositions, arbitrations, mediations and trials including expert witnesses. Will conducts depositions and examinations under oath and prepares summary documents. Will prepares and conducts court appearances (matter management conferences, hearings, status conferences, etc.). will conducts settlement/dispositive proceedings (e.g. mediations, arbitrations, etc.). will try and/or arbitrate cases and prepares motions in limine and summary documents. Will draft post-trial motions. Will prepare for and participate in appeals. Will investigate and pursue subrogation litigation as appropriate. Will manages projects

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have a juris doctorate and a license to practice law in Texas. Should have 7+ years related experience typical. Should have computer skills, including MS Office suite, used in or related to the tasks performed. Should exercises discretion and maintains confidentiality of sensitive information. Should demonstrates ethics and integrity. Should have management & Supervisory Skills. Should have budget management skills. Must have strong project management skills and law firm/vendor management experience. Must be able to interact with all levels of personnel. Should utilizes subject matter expertise to coach and guide less experienced team members.
