ProfileThe candidate should have 2 to 5 years of relevant legal experience and a demonstrated commitment to working with low-income families and individuals and/or persons living with HIV/AIDS. Must be a conscientious self-starter and be able to work independently, as well as work successfully in a team environment. Will be responsible for working with a number of attorneys simultaneously in an active litigation practice. Must be comfortable working under pressure of deadlines, and have an ability to manage a large number of cases and emergencies simultaneously. Must have ability to multi-task is critical. Must have prior knowledge or experience with housing law matters. Should have knowledge or experience with HIV/AIDS and/or public benefits. Must have excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills. Must have Juris doctor degree and New York State bar admission (in good standing). Should have fluency in Spanish. Must have computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Word, Excel.
