Housing Attorney The candidate will work primarily on behalf of tenants living in public or federally subsidized housing. The position involves the following opportunities: representing tenants at all stages of the Unlawful Detainer process, including trial; advocating for tenants before the Housing Authority and other administrative agencies; advocating for tenants on issues of fair housing; identifying systemic problems that affect our clients’ housing rights and addressing these challenges through affirmative litigation and policy work; conducting community outreach and training for public housing residents; and collaborating with the local, regional and national tenant advocacy community. Should have California State Bar membership in good standing. Must have familiarity with housing law and 2 years of litigation experience, 5+ years preferred. Bilingual ability in Spanish preferred.
