Social Justice Attorney Duties: Providing a spectrum of legal assistance from advice/counsel to representation in a wide range of civil legal matters including: housing, family law, protective orders, public benefits, health care access, consumer protection, and elimination of barriers to employment; Identifying systemic problems that affect our clients’ rights and addressing these challenges through affirmative advocacy and policy work; Collaborating and coordinating with partners to assure effective referrals and holistic service delivery; Conducting community outreach and training; and Collaborating with the local and national organizations to address policy and systemic issues.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: California State Bar membership in good standing. Passion for and deep understanding of working with a diverse community of low-income individuals, including immigrants, youth, veterans, and/or people with disabilities. Familiarity with at least one substantive area and 2+ years of litigation experience. Excellent communication, writing and public speaking skills. Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team. Exceptional listener and strategist who thrives in a collegial environment. Fluency in Spanish preferred.
