Managing Attorney The candidate will be responsible for the operation of the regional office and of Pro Bono unit. Should have the skills of a lawyer, a litigator, a supervisor, an administrative manager and a personnel manager. Should also be admitted to practice in New York State or eligible for admission, pro hac vice, and be willing to take the next available bar exam. Must have 5+ years of legal practice experience, preferably in at least one of the following areas: prisoners' rights, New York State family law, veterans' rights, civil legal services, civil rights, poverty law or federal litigation, and 3 years of management experience. We have a serious need for staff who are fluent in Spanish.
