Employment Litigation Associate The candidate must be a junior to mid-level associate to deal with all aspects of a diverse employment practice, including working on major litigations, conducting internal investigations, regularly advising and counseling clients and speaking and publishing on topics in the field. Should preferably have 2-4 years of meaningful employment litigation experience. Should have excellent analytical, litigation, and verbal and written communication skills. A high level of academic achievement and large law firm experience is preferred.

"Not suitable for laterals"

If you are hiring laterals, value their choice of joining the firm and provide them with equal opportunities and benefit of doubt as the home-grown lawyers.

Pros : The firm has high profile clients and definitely a good place to begin your practice. However, if you are joining as a lateral, be ware! The treatment you receive is completely different from the home-grown lawyers. I have seen few laterals in the M&A/PE department that survived a year!
Cons : They are surprisingly cruel towards the laterals in the M&A/PE department. It feels like a frat house and it is not just the partners but fellow associates as well. It feels like you are constantly trying to be a part of a fraternity.
