Bankruptcy and Probate Coordinator Duties: Resolves probate and bankruptcy complications preventing payment of settlement funds. Serves as a liaison between litigation firms, claimants receiving settlement funds, local probate attorneys, and bankruptcy trustees. Understand and articulate GRG’s bankruptcy and probate services to clients. Regularly participate in meetings, both internal and external, and is dependable as bankruptcy/probate resource on assigned projects. Receive and review specific case information from clients and classify cases for proper procedure implementation. Collect and review next of kin information for decedents’ estates. Locate local probate counsel across the United States to open estates and appoint personal representatives who have legal authority to release defendants. Follow up with local probate counsel, the Claims Administrator, and the litigation firm to ensure that the settlement funds are disbursed to the proper party in a timely fashion. Research bankruptcy filings on PACER. Communicate details of the settlement program to bankruptcy trustees, bankruptcy attorneys, and local probate counsel. Assist bankruptcy trustees and clients with preparation of template court documents for approving settlements in order that funds can be disbursed to either the bankruptcy trustee or the debtor. Simultaneously resolve payment complications for multiple cases across multiple litigations. Orchestrate large volumes of data while meeting critical deadlines. Provide case updates to GRG clients. Update all case specific actions in the data base for follow up and review.

Qualification and Experience

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. Paralegal certificate/degree, or equivalent work experience, preferred. 1-3 years in a professional client services capacity is a plus. Effective communication skills, both written and oral. Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Problem solving and strong analytical ability. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment. Ability to adapt to constantly changing environment. Proficient in MS Office applications. Sharepoint experience is a plus.
