Intake Legal Assistant The candidate reviews legal documents to ensure they are properly formatted and contain all necessary portions or related documents for court acceptance; files legal documents with proper courts. Generates complaint packages with the appropriate exhibits and service documentation. Establishes and maintains office files, logs, indices, legal references, control records and other information in connection with the work under the control of the assigned attorney and direct supervisor. Operates standard office equipment such as calculators, duplicating machines, facsimile machines, scanners, etc. Proofreads and corrects prepares materials for correct grammar, spelling punctuation, format, syntax and content. Performs related work as assigned. High school / equivalence diploma required. Skilled typing ability and knowledge of personal computers, hardware, software and related applications needed.
