The candidate should have professional office experience of 3+ years in a legal setting; possess strong organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail; multi-task successfully in a fast-paced litigation work environment in order to meet competing deadlines; share the firm’s commitment to advancing civil rights protections; possess legal cite-checking skills, including the ability to shepardize and Bluebook written materials; thorough understanding of court rules and filing requirements; knowledge of Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw and internet search engines for research purposes and knowledge of Pacer and ECF filing procedures. Should have experience with eDiscovery data processing; eDiscovery software (XERA, Relativity) and document management software.
