Design Patent Specialist / Paralegal The candidate will assist with the filing and prosecution of US and foreign design patent applications prepared by attorneys. Will assist in the preparation of formal drawings or digital photo processing. Review Patent Office documents for accuracy and prepare and file requests for correction of official filing receipts, requests for corrected assignment recordation cover sheets, requests for certificates of correction. Review and update status charts with incoming docketable due dates. Prepare and forward client reporting correspondence for new application filings, recorded assignments, official filing receipts and issued patents. Maintain prior art collections and perform prior art searches for citation in Information Disclosure Statements. Bachelor's degree is required. Should preferably have 1-2 years of experience in an IP environment or professional office environment. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
