Personal Injury (PI) Litigation Paralegal The candidate will support the attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including client communications, reviewing and synthesizing documents, organizing information, keeping records and files up to date and organized on a daily basis, and preparing for hearings and trial. Will speak directly with clients, witnesses and assist in screening potential new cases. Prepare correspondence, exhibits, format and proof. Prepare demand packages. Communicate and liaise with clients. Obtain and collate medical records. Gather facts, documents, and evidence to assist in the initiation of legal action or motion practice. Assist with discovery requests and responses; conduct document searches; organize documents and coordinate document productions, including bates-stamping, redaction, production logs, and e discovery. Prepare materials for oral arguments. Prepare for trials; organize exhibits, witness materials, the trial notebook, and all other supporting documents; coordinate trial logistics. Perform administrative functions such as assist in maintaining a paperless office by scanning and filing documents in document management system; perform word processing functions, perform filing, efiling, service and mailing of pleadings, documents, correspondence and courtesy copies, travel, maintain monthly bills, and calendar deadlines.

The candidate should have College degree with 5-7 years experience as a personal injury litigation paralegal. Good client communication and interpersonal skills is required. Must understands complex legal concepts and terminology. Must have knowledge of the rules regulating paralegals/legal assistants. In-depth knowledge of State and Federal court rules and procedures, and the skills to find and understand those in other jurisdictions is required. Must have knowledge of State and Federal e-filing systems, and the ability to learn e-filing systems in other jurisdictions. Strong working knowledge of advanced functions of Microsoft Office (including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel) is required. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning, verbal and written communication skills is required.
