Public Finance Project Manager (Paralegal) The candidate will take on the management of the deal mechanics so that the lawyers can focus on major legal issues, negotiation of business terms, financing strategy and business development. A typical finance team might include a partner (or of counsel) in the lead role, an associate and a Project Manager. Will be assigned to the program and may stay with it for several years, will get to know the clients and their staff, and be a key resource and focal point for the entire financing team. Will perform a wide array of tasks, including but not limited to: Organizing, coordinating and leading transactions for closings; Drafting resolutions, opinions and closing documents; Coordinating notices and hearings for public entities; Preparing of initial drafts of documents for attorney review; Participating in business development events and conferences; Performing legal research, manage initial major legal documents, manage due diligence process; Preparing and revising proceedings document per interested parties' input and maintaining, updating and completing the transaction database information. Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program is essential. 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal in public finance or secured transactions, lending and finance preferred. Technical knowledge in a windows / office environment and ability to think actively and creatively about the use of technology within the department is essential.
