Profile

Litigation Paralegal The candidate will submit medical record requests to medical providers. Will maintain chronological order of medical records. Summarize medical records. Provide updates to lawyers regarding developments in treatment and/or injuries. Prepare deposition indexes and summaries. Assist with trial preparation, issuing subpoenas, and organization of exhibits.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have Paralegal Studies Associate's degree or Paralegal certification. Must have knowledge of medical terminology, conditions, standard practices/treatments, and billing practices. Should be able to accurately summarize medical billing information. Must have the ability to manage large volume document productions. Knowledge of electronic document review programs is a plus. Should have knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures. Must be proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
