Commercial Real Estate Legal Assistant / Paralegal Duties: Support 2-3 attorneys in commercial real estate matters. Drafting letters. Meeting scheduling and calendar maintenance. File organization and coordination. Drafting closing statements. Arranging for recording of real estate documents. Scheduling real estate closings. Securing title documents and arranging for survey preparation. Light overflow work as needed to support firm, ex: filing, reception fill-in or backup, light office cleaning. Take a lead role in all things secretarial, clerical, and paralegal related. Preparation of closing statements for real estate transactions.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: 3 years of commercial real estate experience required. Prior experience ordering title and survey. Typing skills (60+ wpm). Microsoft Word knowledge. Phone proficiency. Personal relationship skills. Attention to detail. Familiarity with mailing processes. Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint). Excellent interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills). Preferred: Office 365/SharePoint familiarity. Basic document template creation. Basic document draft preparation. Professional direct client communication. Knowledge of filing documents with County Clerk’s office.
