Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant The candidate must have: Work experience of 6+ years as litigation paralegal/legal assistant. Experience conducting document searches and factual research. Extensive experience drafting discovery requests, drafting discovery responses, communication with clients regarding discovery to determine what documents are available and creating and maintaining a system for categorizing and organizing all vital case documents. Significant experience drafting and indexing documents including complaints, answers, motions before the court and legal response briefs. Type 65+ WPM (testing included in interview process). Experience in coordinating document production, organizing documents, and preparing for trials. Experience assisting in trial preparation, preparing trial exhibits, and managing trial documents. Experience in scheduling and calendaring. Strong organizational, logic, and analytical skills. Excellent transcription skills. Excellent proofreading skills resulting in error-free work. Proficient on Word including redlining and Excel. Familiarity with document management software. Experience in maintaining large well-organized files. Able to navigate office technology. Strong inter-personal skills. Exemplary attendance and punctuality in previous employment. Outstanding references from previous law firm employers.
