Paralegal Responsibilities: Set up calendars, interface with attorneys, legal assistants and other counsel.. Handle investigative Internet research. Assist in the preparation and filing of documents including, but not limited to, court pleadings and legal correspondence. Handle trial preparation, as necessary. Draft legal documents and correspondence, and review and check all documents for accuracy and timeliness. Handle Bluebooking, heavy editing and proof-reading. Provides administrative support including typing correspondence, maintaining attorney schedules, and maintaining legal databases. Organizes and maintains legal files and document review projects. Complete discreet research assignments using LEXIS and/or Westlaw.

Qualifications: Candidate must have at least a Paralegal certificate and 3+ years' of litigation experience for consideration. Experience with electronic discovery is preferred. Attention to detail, a great attitude, and a hard work ethic are a must. Must be a self starter. Trial prep experience strongly preferred. Excellent writing and communication skills required. Ability to prioritize and work under a tight schedule. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Must be detail-oriented. Must be available for overtime. Knowledge of court rules and deadlines a plus but not required. Ability to work in a professional manner under pressure, and handle difficult situations with a consistently calm, positive demeanor. Proficiency in or advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook. Must be able to deal with confidential and highly sensitive matters in a consistently discreet and professional manner. Candidate must possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines. Experience with legal database software like PACER, the Federal Court filing system, LEXIS and/or Westlaw a plus. Exceptional organizational skills, highly motivated and able to multi task. Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills. Relativity and Document Review a plus.
