Workers Compensation Legal Assistant The candidate will handle proofreads documents and checks for appropriate formatting, spelling and grammar. Will prepare check requests for processing with appropriate backup and timely submission to accounting for payment. Type and coordinates expense reports. Enter and edits attorney’s time into the timekeeping system within deadlines as required. Maintain attorney appointment calendar. Coordinate all client related travel. Maintain files in an efficient and effective manner. Prepare and updates attorney case lists. Receive, open, prioritize and distribute incoming mail. Prepare materials for distribution via U.S. mail, fax, courier, messenger, etc. Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with the firm policies. Interact professionally with clients, attorneys, paralegals, secretaries, all other staff and other representatives outside of the firm. Should have 3+ years of experience as a legal assistant. Legal experience is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs is needed.
