Assistant Paralegal 2 Duties: As an integral member of team, work closely with Associates and Paralegals on all aspects of case preparation for temporary and permanent visa petitions and applications. Perform intake of cases once assigned. Draft Petitions/Applications and file with government agency. Maintain client contact information. Provide status updates. File documents in proper order. Update case management system. Learn procedural and processing requirements for various types of non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions and applications. Build knowledge of Firm and client processes.

Qualification and Experience

Requirements: BS or BA Degree Japanese language skills required Ability to demonstrate attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Achieve high level of productivity. Ability to Multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing demands. Meets assigned deadlines and communicates case progress/status/issues to supervisor. Demonstrate flexibility and initiative regarding assignments for self and team. Ability to contribute to positive work environment.

Give IT more resources to help them update the office technology so everyone can be on the same page more often and so everyone can be properly trained and up to date. Reduce redundancy and inefficiency and put the saved money toward more personnel so people don't feel so overextended.

Pros : The firm's various benefits and perks are pretty motivating and make the job more pleasant. It's a large company, so you can find a niche or function that works for you, somewhere.
Cons : Work hours are long and some types of work can feel really repetitive. There are also issues with technology, communication, and training is not uncommon. The personnel are not always allocated efficiently.
