Legal Assistant Duties: Assist the Executive Vice President - General Counsel and/or other attorneys within the Legal Department in connection with law suits, subpoenas, legal research and other legal matters. Assist all attorneys in the Legal Department in connection with law suits, subpoenas, legal research, and other legal matters. Supervise, organize and maintain Law Library and legal research tools. Handle various compliance related issues and items, including reports/filings. Assist with matter management system administration. Draft, prepare, and review simple documents, agreements and forms. Other projects and duties as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Bachelor degree or equivalent experience required.. Paralegal certification a plus. 2 - 6 years of work experience in a law firm or in a legal setting as a legal. assistant or paralegal. Experience in legal research (Westlaw and/or LexisNexis). Litigation management experience a plus. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Must be a self starter and able to handle multiple tasks. Proficient in Word and Excel. Minimal experience with Power Point and Microsoft Access. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
