Legal Assistant - Litigation The candidate will perform essential support duties for In-House Attorneys and other members of the Legal department. Will enhances attorney effectiveness by developing case information, evidence, and settlement options; tracking cases; and, supporting attorney's litigation proceedings. Monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and case management software; confirming case status with attorney. Scheduling depositions and hearings, preparing and forwarding subpoenas, communicating with opposing counsel, as necessary. Help develop cases by maintaining contact with people involved in the case. Enhances litigation proceedings by preparing documents necessary for attorney appearances. Clerical and administrative support to the Legal department as needed.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have Minimum HS Diploma. Associate degree or higher preferred. Insurance defense and/or PIP experience preferred. Must have 1+ year of experience as a legal assistant. Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, writing, reporting, administration skills is required.
