ProfilePart-time Legal Assistant The candidate duties include to answering phones; drafting and filing formal patent documents or administrative responses (missing parts, entity status change, issue fee payments, etc.) through EFS and ePCT; filing trademark applications (statement of use, renewals, and oppositions) through TEAS and TTAB; corresponding with foreign counsels and foreign patent offices; docketing (Pattsy); sending out task reminders/appointments/meetings (Outlook); following up with attorneys; inputting official fees and time entries then generating invoices (QuickBooks), running accounting reports for A/R; and otherwise assisting in other daily assistant tasks to ensure a smooth office workflow. B.A./B.S. degree or similar preferred. Must have experience handling administrative actions in patent and trademark applications. Should have 1 year of intellectual property law office experience in a similar position. Must have experience entering time/bills and invoicing in QuickBooks (or similar program).
